Most streets in Turin´s San Salvario quarter present a similar pattern: on both sides they are flanked by a parking lane and a pavement. The parking lane for cars and scooters is also used for containers and terraces. The design consists of a flexible six-part mobile oasis the size of a single parking spot which fits anywhere in the neighbourhood's streets. Its six parts can be arranged in different ways so as to form an enclosed garden, a linear garden or a pocket park. The mobile urban oasis is a new concept: a combination of street furniture and plants that together form an exotic resting area.
