Delight and delirium have a common ground in the special state of being. We use the overlap as design focus. Become aware of the beauty of the irregular pattern of flowers and the freedom of a ribbon. Experience the surrealistic dynamic transformation of reality when you are moving around. It is a flower world where you are in. Sometimes you are surrounded by reflections of magnifying transformed details or you become aware of plants just in front of you, combined with the reflection of the plant, the sky and the plants behind in the same time. When you start moving everything will start moving in an uncontrolled way. Welcome, you are invited to this garden of illusions.
The design is a simple combination of two elements, a flower garden and a translucent ribbon. The plot of the garden is smoothly transformed in a relief in a way you can’t oversee the whole garden at once. A footpath of anthracite split is circling around. A pattern of curving borders with a mix of extreme colored flowers and the footpath is twisted. The result is a layout in plan and section that suggest dynamic flow.
The second element is an autonomous free curving ribbon draped in the garden. The ribbon is draped in curves. Depending on the angle the translucent plates will become mirroring the surrounding. In a in between position the plate will be translucent and mirroring in the same time. Transformation of the plate will result in metamorphosis of the mirrored objects. One part of the ribbon is curving over the path. Here the visitor will cross the ribbon underneath. Local the ribbon is plastered with butterflies of mirroring foil. Looking up you will experience flower butterflies in the sky. At one place the path will bridge the ribbon by neutral anthracite colored steel plate.
