Wusong River is located north-west of Sangtian Island. It consists out of two parks along both sides of the river and is about 1km long on both sides. In the north part a University of Science and a technology park are located, on the south side of the river a nanometer research center is based. The proposed design consists on a coherent spatial concept for the two parts. A tissue structure models the empty area into a network of paths and squares and green spaces that emerge in between. A slightly sunken boulevard is proposed on the north along the river. The tree structure existsof a gradient of dense evergreen trees in the north to a more open structure in the south. Central in the plan a bridge is connecting the two sides, at the connection points two squares are proposed. Each square having it’s own identity. The southern square has a water sculpture, which is part of a art route in the southern park. In the north a sports path is designed.
