On the outskirts of Apeldoorn, in Zuidbroek, lies the 150-year-old Hohenheim estate. The estate has been in use for psychological care since the 1940s. This care function is moving to a new location. One third of the estate is already being used to accommodate asylum seekers. The remaining part will become available for living, working, catering and recreational purposes. In close cooperation with BPD, LOOS van Vliet designed a plan that combines the coherence of the estate as a whole, its core cultural-historical and landscape qualities, and new exclusive residential environments. The plan strengthens the landscape structure, provides for the sustainable preservation of valuable buildings and adds compact clusters of new homes in a park forest. WELL. is heading towards a future as a green oasis for residents, workers and visitors. 26-05-2022
