The Biezemtuin is a development assignment of 10 courtyard houses around two independent villas and a beautiful, communal flower garden in Laren. This heat- and drought-resistant garden will increase biodiversity and blend in colour with the purple moorland in the area. The undulating pattern in the planting is inspired by the swimming pool, located next to the site. The garden will accommodate art by local artists; special pedestals will be designed for this purpose. Water bowls on slender feet, intended for the house sparrow, also reflect the greenery beautifully. At the meeting point of the paths there will be space for a communal area for residents to meet. Benches of cut wood will be placed here, which slope down towards the edges. In the low parts, holes will be made for bees and insects. This will make the court an inclusive place for people and animals. We won this tender in cooperation with KP Ontwikkeling, EVE Architecten B.V. and De Wijde Blik Communicatie. 15-11-2022
