The final design 'Gouwpark' in Weespersluis is under construction!

Located along the Gouw, in the Vechtrijk subarea, the Gouwpark is being constructed. The estates along the Vecht and the fortifications of Weesp were the inspiration for the design. Three avenues with double rows of stately lime trees will be situated along the edges. In between, informally arranged blossom trees such as magnolias and prunuses will be planted. A winding footpath calls at several special places designed as small fortresses. The footpath is accompanied by a ribbon of flowers and shrubs according to Jacqueline van der Kloet's planting plan. From west to east, first there is a fitness garden, next there is a butterfly garden and further along the route there is a small beach and a beach pavilion. 05 05 2023
