World Food Center has won the SKG Public Prize 2024!

The SKG prize is the award for sustainable area development! For the transformation of this former barracks site, high priority has been given to sustainability. The approximately 800 nearly energy-neutral homes will be built with nature-inclusive materials and colours, blending beautifully into the green surroundings. Part of it has now been built and occupied. Green roofs, green facades and planting adapted to the area promote climate adaptation and enhance biodiversity. Residents are encouraged to live sustainably. Special features are the facilities that enable true social cohesion: communal (cooking) facilities such as communal living rooms complete with kitchen, roof gardens and a food forest for growing fruit and vegetables. World Food Center in Ede is an area development by World Food Center Development, a collaboration of BPD | Bouwfonds Gebiedsontwikkeling, Van Wijnen Projectontwikkeling and Green Real Estate B.V.
