With the urge for a spacious feeling in most urban settings, with this project we explored future possibilities of nature in urban spaces. An increase of green areas within cities can improve the urban environment in many different ways: aesthetically and environmentally as well as socially and economically. By creating suspended gardens, green layers can be applied to new levels, without interfering with the ground space. The green cloud garden consists of hanging plants, planted in moss balls. The plants used in this garden are a selection from medical plants, traditionally used in Galicia. Also, bobbin lace making is a traditional Galician arts and craft technique. This technique is used in the garden and provides a structure of an asymmetrical string pattern.
