Design of Expo Valley, Xianyang

Expo Valley in Xianyang combines a park landscape of 1,5km2 with an expo/congress area of 200.000m2 and 170.000m2 of hotel, office and commercial program. Xianyang is blessed with a rich history of which witnesses are the many grave hills from among others the Qin Dynasty. Inspired by the theme of grave hills, LvV designed a utility park with an organic structure of hills. Every hill hides a special place like amphitheater, light art or a fog pond. The most spectacular one is the parking lot with 12.000 parking spaces. The hilly landscape extends itself to the expo and congress area.
